Sterling Silver Wrought Gate How Do I Make A Sterling Silver Pendant?

How do I make a sterling silver pendant? - sterling silver wrought gate

I want a cross for a friend from high school in Sterling Sliver I love making beads, but I've always wondered how to make beads with silver pendant. So, if someone in the production of these and how can you tell me please. It would be appreciated. I saw and learned on-line tools that you need not to know how to pray. You will need:
Needle nose pliers, flat nose pliers round, half round pliers, forceps teeth jewelers saw, files, Hammer Ball Pien, a torch, the block of charcoal, which absorbs the excess heat away from the desk, the borax and the cone property, tie wire, titanium welding wire, insulated pliers a vise. And I think we need such a thing as silver I add I am not sure. If so, tell me and tell me how much it will cost, enough to make a mean cross.

There are many ways to start, but I think it would be easier to go with Clay PMC. You need a minimum of tools for working in clay and clay can be burned with a torch, or you can find someone with a fiery furnace for you (does not take long, but requires a high temperature). The jewelry is really enter a fun hobby, but it requires tools that you have mentioned and that is do not be cheap. (I have a Masters in Fine Jewelry, and is very addictive and it requires some learning to get good at it too), manufacture of metal is very slow compared to other professions, but worth the time if you enjoy working with my hands. For a basic kit will cost hundreds or a few dollars to start assuming that you want to learn to weld. The torches are expensive, but if you have an acetylene cylinder B, and accessories, you can do much with it. It pays to get the money and time to a class of jewelry as the basic tips that you will be that projects take more than a thousand burned up! I taught many classes and definitely opportunity to have fun, but it requires commitment and time to heal. PMC Clay is a good alternative and does not require too many instruments to get started. Go to a bookstore and get a book from PMC and find the chapter, the material and covers for sale. I had to do a great mind to things over the years and congratulations that I received it even more fun.

In fact, it depends how you want to display them. If you want to cut as you make a simple pendant with a saw and some sheet metal too - just. If you want something a little more important, you need a little more equipment. In any case, you are a small set of needle files, and others need to be fitted to sandpaper. You must already in the round, flat nose pliers chain of departure - Do NOT use tweezers, which are not smooth - it will ruin your metal and looks like shit. You can make jewelry out of precious metals on sand instead of the blade, and is an easy way to get the amount of quality difference. Or you can use your mad skills in welding to make a hole slightly. If you use the PMC go-route, a number of books out there about them. If you go a more traditional way, you can find a local university, offers jewelry and silverware (aka metal) in the art department and you can do everything you need to know to find out. I recommend the Rio Grande (www.riogrande.com) for your tools and supplies.
Ito give further information but not enough room for everything.
